I tore a ligament in my ankle last year and after months and months of therapy and steroid shots, it still bubbles up like a balloon if I run more than 3 miles at a time. Total pain…literally! I’m not ready to give up on running quite yet but I’ve definitely had to incorporate more low-impact workouts into my routine which includes getting on the bike more often. I made this “Life Is Good” Bicycle Lovers Tee to remind me that life is, indeed, good!
World Bicycle Day History
June 3rd is World Bicycle Day! This global day celebrates the bicycle and its many benefits. The bicycle is a simple, sustainable, and affordable mode of transportation that can help to promote physical activity and reduce pollution. World Bicycle Day was first proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2018.
Each year, the day is celebrated with events and initiatives around the world that aim to promote the bicycle as a tool for sustainable development. So whether you’re an avid cyclist or simply someone who appreciates the many benefits of this humble machine, be sure to celebrate World Bicycle Day on June 3rd and every other day of the year!
Using the Bicycle Lovers Free SVG File
In honor of World Bicycle Day, we’re giving away a free “Life Is Good” SVG file! There are so many great ways to use the bicycle lovers’ free SVG file! Here are just a few ideas:
- Create a custom t-shirt or sweatshirt design using the bicycle image.
- Print out the image and use it as a stencil to paint a bicycle onto a canvas or piece of wood.
- Cut out the bicycle shape and use it as a template to make a paper or fabric applique.
- Download the SVG file and upload it to your cutting machine software to create a decal, sign, or iron-on transfer.
- Use the bicycle image as a focal point on a scrapbook page or journal spread.
- Add design to a mug for you or yourself!
- Plus so many other crafts!
Whether you’re looking for a fun DIY project or just want to show your love for bicycling, the bicycle lovers’ free SVG file is a great way to do it!
I originally made this design a three-part Bike Love series (download the original posters here!), but it translated perfectly into a cutting machine file with a little help from Adobe Illustrator. I used Mirrored Gold Chrome Heat Transfer Vinyl from Expressions Vinyl because who doesn’t need a little glam in their life sometimes, right? I made the mistake of using just plain HTV settings and had to cut a few of the lines by hand. Highly suggest you use Expressions Vinyl’s recommended settings found here. Also, don’t forget to flip the image!
How to Cut Bicycle SVG File
Once you’ve downloaded the Bicycle SVG File, all you have to do is upload the SVG cut files to your digital cutting machine. I’m a huge fan of my Cricut Maker but you can also use a Silhouette cutting machine as well. You’ll need to upgrade to the DE version of Silhouette Studio to use this free svg file though.
Want a different file? If you have Adobe Illustrator you can save the SVG file as a eps, vector, png, dxf, or pretty much any other file you’d need!
I’d love to apply this Bicycle SVG file on a hat with Infusible Ink and the Hat Press! So adorable, right?!

I am going to have to get some of that gold vinyl! I love it! I’m a big fan of the “o’s” being out of the bike wheels.

You already have my email address for I get your emails. You offer a freebie. Why do I have to sign up again just to get it???
Either add a link to click on or forget the mailings. It gives me no incentive to come to your website again.
